Ollie was surprised by this reaction, almost falling out of his chair as she flopped on top of him. Soon as he regained his balance, he gave Livvy a good long hug. "Sweetie ..." He said softly, his voice trailing off, he wasn't sure what to say. He'd never seen her like this before. After a few moments of hugging in silence, except for Liv's sobbing, he came to a realization. He'd stayed at first to prove to himself that he could. Now, he was here for her.

"Liv. I don't want you to make the same mistakes I did. I love your mom, just like you love Brandon. But because I had my head so far up my own ass, I couldn't see that for the longest time. But if there's one thing I am aside from prideful, and stupid, and a bastard, it's stubborn. I don't give up, and I didn't give up on trying to make things work with your mom.
